Most of my work involves a considerable element of research and development. This takes place on a technical and a conceptual level. This portion of the site is an incomplete and experimental space to share some of this research. It may provide some background to the work and could help other artists interested in similar areas.

I continually learn from others who are willing to share knowledge, skills, and code, so I hope to continue that cycle here. Feel free to use it anything posted here. Please just give credit where appropriate and let me know what you are doing with any of these resources, and pass on knowledge to others. Also, know that the code is often hacked together for a particular task, and while it typically works and might be instructive, I make no promises that it is perfect or good for your intentions or models proper form in all cases.

Bioprinter:
I am working in collaboration with several people at the Baltimore Under Ground Science Space, a community biology lab, to develop a 3D printer capable of printing biological material.
I have moved all of the materials on bioprinting to a dedicated site: 3D Bio Fab

Grasshopper Fabrication Tools:
I work heavily in Grasshopper, a visual scripting interface to the 3D CAD software Rhino. Grasshopper allows users to create their own re-usable objects and to share these with others. I am working on tools to generate gcode for 3D printing using Grasshopper. I hope to eventually control the printer directly from Grasshopper. I have uploaded many of my "user objects" to a Google drive here. This includes these gcode tools, some simple convenience utilities, and some tools for to use with Firefly's Kinect skeletal tracking components. Some of these user objects are dependent on other user objects or components. While it is usually best to download those from their respective developers, I've included them here for convenience sake.
